Mary B. Dinos Memorial Scholarship for Nursing
Mary Butler Dinos was a steadfast supporter of the nursing profession and compassionately believed in giving the gift of education to deserving students who were not financially able to fulfill their academic dreams. The Mary B. Dinos Memorial Scholarship has been established by her husband, Mr. Jack Dinos, with a gift to Southeast Georgia Health System Foundation.
The Mary B. Dinos Memorial Scholarship will recognize, encourage, and assist outstanding Certified Nursing Assistants, Nursing Technicians, Licensed Practical Nurses and/or Registered Nurses employed by Southeast Georgia Health System who desire to further their education in nursing and obtain an Associates of Science Nursing (ASN) degree and/or a Bachelor of Science Nursing (BSN) degree. If obtaining an Associate’s degree, candidate must have successfully completed one year of college.
The Mary B. Dinos Memorial Scholarship will support a recipient for a maximum of three academic years. The scholarship will include tuition, textbooks and all necessary lab fees.
Richard A. Ceniza, M.D. Memorial Scholarship for Allied Health Services
In April 2012, Dr. Richard Ceniza lost his battle with cancer. He was only 64 years old. Dr. Ceniza was the first physician to be employed by Southeast Georgia Health System. He served in numerous medical leadership positions as well as on the Camden Campus Advisory Board. Beneath his professional exterior was a man who led his life with integrity, honor and gentleness. He was trusted and respected. Known often as the pioneer of medicine in Camden County, Dr. Ceniza touched the lives of thousands.
Southeast Georgia Health System Foundation has created the Richard A. Ceniza, M.D. Memorial Scholarship for Allied Health Sciences. The scholarship fund is for Health System team members employed on the Camden Campus. The scholarship provides academic financial assistance to deserving team members who have the desire to continue on their academic journey, but do not have the financial capability to do so.
The Richard A. Ceniza, M.D. Memorial Scholarship for Allied Health Sciences will support a recipient for a maximum of two academic years. The scholarship will include tuition, textbooks and all necessary lab fees.
